| Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart. | Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight. |
| I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah | I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. |
| Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied. | My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. |
