- One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship,
but he who divulges it separates good friends. - Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.
- And if then my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray to me and seek my presence as they turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.

the God who takes away guilt
and forgives the transgressions
of the remnant of your people?
You will not allow your anger to fester forever,
for your delight is in bestowing mercy. - You must understand, brethren, that it is through him that forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you. All those who believe are justified from all the things from which they could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
- For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
- He is himself the sacrifice for our sins—
and not only for our sins
but also for the sins of the whole world. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt.
I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,”
and you removed the guilt of my sin. Selah - And forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors. - In Christ
and through his blood
we have redemption
and the forgiveness of our sins.
In accord with the riches of his grace. - Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.
- If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
- Peter answered, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.
- Let the wicked abandon their ways
and those who are evil their thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord
so that he may have mercy upon them;
and to our God,
for he is rich in forgiveness. - God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
- Return, rebel Israel, says the Lord.
I will not look upon you in anger.
For I am merciful, says the Lord;
my wrath will not continue forever.
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.Who is this King of glory?
