| Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.” | Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” |
| Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to dishonest gain. | Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. |

| Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. |
| And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. | But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. |
| You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. | You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |
| I will exalt You, my God, the King, And I will bless Your name forever and ever. | I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. |
| I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. | I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. |
| If I should say, “My foot has slipped,” Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. | When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. |
| I have made a covenant with my eyes; How then could I look at a virgin? | I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman. |
| My mouth is filled with Your praise And with Your glory all day long. | My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long. |
| And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. | If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
| Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away. | You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. |
| The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. | Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them. |
| Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all. | Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. |
| So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. | So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. |
| I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You. | I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. |
| So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” | To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” |
| Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. | Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. |
| For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. | For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. |
| By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another. | By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. |
| Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth. | I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. |
| Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? | Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? |
| My son, comply with the commandment of your father, And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. | My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. |
| I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. | I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. |
| Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. | Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. |
