I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to protect them from the evil one.I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
And the world with all its enticements is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
He gave himself for us in order to deliver us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people as his own who are eager to do good.Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases.Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
He is himself the sacrifice for our sins— and not only for our sins but also for the sins of the whole world. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
God’s love was revealed to us in this way: God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might have life through him.In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
Dear children, you are from God and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Before the mountains were brought forth or the earth and the world came into existence, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life? For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may attain eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
And the good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the entire world as a testimony offered to all the nations. And then the end will come. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled; be not afraid.Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, so that you will be able to discern the will of God and to know what is good and acceptable and perfect. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Jesus addressed them once again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life.”Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to come to the aid of orphans and widows in their hardships and to keep oneself untarnished by the world.Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” a name that means “God is with us.”So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.
Therefore, whenever you give alms, do not trumpet your generosity, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets in order to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have already received their reward. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
In other words, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, and not holding people’s transgressions against them, and he committed to us the message of reconciliation. That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
See what love the Father has bestowed on us, enabling us to be called the children of God, and that is what we are. If the world does not recognize us, that is because it did not know him.Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

God chose those in the world who were lowly and despised, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who were regarded as worthy, so that no one could boast in the presence of God.And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.
