Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free.
So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone!How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
