Proverbs 3:5 (2/6)

Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death.Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.
Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.
Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.
Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little.
The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.
The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.
With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.
A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.
A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.
Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame.
Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
