Proverbs 31:25–26 (4/6)

A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent.A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible.
Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, Than great treasure with trouble.Better is a little with the fear of the Lord Than great treasure, and turmoil with the treasure.
Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed.
A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.
Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established.
Better is a little with righteousness, Than vast revenues without justice.Better is a little with righteousness Than great income with injustice.

The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, And before honor is humility.Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor.
