Psalm 16:1 (3/9)

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will be continually on my lips.
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he set me free from all my fears.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Then keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.Shun evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them.
But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.Put your trust in the Lord and do good, that you may dwell in the land and be secure.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.Commit your way to the Lord; place your trust in him, and he will act. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.
It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous.
The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers. The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving.
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct.
For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.For the Lord loves the just, and he will not forsake his faithful ones. Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed, and the children of the wicked will be cut off.
You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord! Listen to my cries for help! Don’t ignore my tears. For I am your guest— a traveler passing through, as my ancestors were before me.Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart. To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart.
Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever.
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.As a deer longs for running streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.

I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come to behold the face of God?
