Psalm 46 (9/9)

The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
Hear my prayer, O Lord! Listen to my cries for help! Don’t ignore my tears. For I am your guest— a traveler passing through, as my ancestors were before me.Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
