Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. | He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. |

And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” | Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” |
Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. | Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. |
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. | The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. |
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. | We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. |
How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of mankind! | How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. |
Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. |
Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. | Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. |
And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. | Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. |
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? | Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? |
I will raise my eyes to the mountains; From where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. | I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! |

But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life. | But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again.
