  • So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.
  • He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
  • For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
  • But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall.

  • Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you,
    And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
    For the Lord is a God of justice;
    How blessed are all those who long for Him.
  • Hatred stirs up strife,
    But love covers all offenses.
  • So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
  • Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.
  • He heals the brokenhearted
    And binds up their wounds.
  • For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
  • And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
  • And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
  • A gentle answer turns away wrath,
    But a harsh word stirs up anger.
  • The vine has dried up
    And the fig tree has withered;
    The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,
    All the trees of the field have dried up.
    Indeed, joy has dried up
    From the sons of mankind.
  • Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.
  • A person’s pride will bring him low,
    But a humble spirit will obtain honor.
  • Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
  • A joyful heart is good medicine,
    But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
  • And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
  • So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.

Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
