Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1	Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. faith truth hope
Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10	Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. obedience reward relationships

Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. 1 John 4:20	If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? love God family

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his commands; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the Lord's wrath. Zephaniah 2:3	Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath. John 3:36	And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. When goods increase, those who eat them increase; and what gain has their owner but to see them with his eyes? Ecclesiastes 5:11	The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! materialism money desires
Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9	You love him even though you have never seen him. Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord. Jeremiah 23:24	“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord. God heaven
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 2 Corinthians 5:17	This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! creation Jesus rebirth
No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known. John 1:18	No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. Jesus Father nearness
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. Luke 2:20	The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. worship christmas praise
You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23	For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. John 3:21	But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. light truth obedience
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? Luke 14:28	But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? debt planning money
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 34:14	Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. evil goodness peace
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24	Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost. Luke 19:10	For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. salvation Jesus seeking
For “Those who desire life and desire to see good days, let them keep their tongues from evil and their lips from speaking deceit; let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it.” 1 Peter 3:10-11	For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” love peace life
No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. Luke 8:16	No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. honesty holiness light
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1	Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. trust Spirit prophecy
Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9	Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. peace listening learning

Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
