Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! | Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. |
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. | So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. |
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. | And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! | These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. |
No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. | For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. |

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. | Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God. |
In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. | So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. |
That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. | And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. |
Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. | So that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company. |
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. | Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. |

Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control. | Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. |
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. | For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. |
