That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. Romans 8:8	So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. sin dependence desires
No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:11	For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. Hebrews 4:11	Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. sabbath obedience rest
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. light truth obedience

Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.” Hosea 14:2	Take words with you, And return to the Lord. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:6	Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. humility reward

No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment. 1 Peter 2:2	As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby. salvation food Word of God
If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2	And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. faith love prophecy

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
