Bible Verses about 'Strife'

Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all offenses.Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.
A perverse person spreads strife, And a slanderer separates close friends.A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel.Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.
A fool’s lips bring strife, And his mouth invites beatings.Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.
Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

Bible verse of the day

A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
