Bible Verses about 'Strife'

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends.
It is honorable to refrain from strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel. It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
A fool's lips bring strife, and a fool's mouth invites a flogging.A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.
By insolence the heedless make strife, but wisdom is with those who take advice.Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is with people who take advice.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disorder and wickedness of every kind. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself.

Bible verse of the day

“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
which means, “God is with us.”
