| I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” | My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” |
| The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. |
| But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. | But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. |

| These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. |
