Trust and obey (2/4)

Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God… 1 John 3:21-22

Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we can approach God with confidence and receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do whatever is pleasing to him. 1 John 3:21-22	Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. trust law obedience
What I commanded them was this: Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. If you follow all the ways that I command you, then you will prosper. I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God. Instruct those who are rich in this world’s goods that they should not be proud, nor should they trust in the uncertainty of riches but rather in God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17	Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. money joy materialism
If you obey the command that I give you today, to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways, and to observe his commandments, statutes, and decrees, then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. If you heed the voice of the Lord, your God, and you carefully observe all of the commandments that I have given you today, then the Lord, your God, will lift you up above all the other nations upon the earth. The fear of others will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure. Proverbs 29:25	The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. trust fear
The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:23	The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. salvation life protection
The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety. Psalm 18:31	As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. blameless Word of God protection

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who obey his commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; then perhaps you may find shelter on the day of the Lord’s anger. Zephaniah 2:3	Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. The one who pays heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. Proverbs 16:20	He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. trust blessing listening
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him. John 3:36	He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. eternal life faith obedience
Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it. Proverbs 23:4	Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! money greed planning
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. Psalm 31:20	Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! trust fear blessing
I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances. Ezekiel 36:27	I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Spirit law following
When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes. Numbers 15:39	And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined. law obedience desires
I love you, O Lord, my strength, O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer. My God is my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. But from everlasting to everlasting the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and diligently observe his commandments.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.
