Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,” and to reflect only after making vows.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?
