Do I derive any pleasure from the death of the wicked? asks the Lord God. Would I not rather rejoice to see them turn away from their wickedness and live? Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness. Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them the path to follow. For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly. These are the words of the Lord of hosts: Stand at the crossroads and look around; ask for the ancient paths. When you are shown where the good way lies, walk along it and your souls will find rest. However, they said, “We will not take it.” Jeremiah 6:16	Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:18-19	Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. Psalm 146:9	The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. protection orphans widows
Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13	Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. humility wisdom life
Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. Romans 13:14	But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. desires addiction Jesus
Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes. Psalm 37:7	Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. honesty life patience
And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside. Job 23:10-11	But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. blameless righteousness

Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
