| Such godly sorrow results in repentance that leads to salvation and causes no regret, whereas worldly sorrow produces death. | For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. |

| A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. |
| Observe the ordinances of the Lord, your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and what he witnessed in writing in the law of Moses. In this way you will prosper in whatever you do and wherever you go. | And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. |
