And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever. | The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. |
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. | One who conceals an offense seeks love, But one who repeats a matter separates close friends. |
Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. | Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. |
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord. | He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord. |
But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. | But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. |
A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water. | A generous person will be prosperous, And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. |
So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. | We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. |
Like a city breached, without walls, is one who lacks self-control. | Like a city that is broken into and without walls So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit. |

To get wisdom is to love oneself; to keep understanding is to prosper. | One who gets wisdom loves his own soul; One who keeps understanding will find good. |

All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. | All the prophets testify of Him, that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins. |
