| In those days when you pray, I will listen. | Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. |
| I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. | He will judge everyone according to what they have done. | He will render to each one according to his works. |
| The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. | The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. |

| The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. | Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. |

| If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. | For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. |
| In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. | In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. |
| Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. | Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. |
| All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). | Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. |
