| Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. | Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil. |
| Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. | If anyone thinks that he is religious but does not restrain his tongue, he is deceiving himself, and his religion is worthless. |
