For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.
But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them.Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
“Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.”But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”
Of all the marine animals, you may eat whatever has both fins and scales. You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. They are ceremonially unclean for you.Of all the creatures living in the water, you may eat any that has fins and scales. But anything that does not have fins and scales you may not eat; for you it is unclean.
Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.
I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me.My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered.
But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
