| On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. | But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. | But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. | But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. | Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. | God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
