Bible Verses about the Heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
