Come and see (2/4)

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you both see and hear.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.
“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.Look! “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it?
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.
I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.

This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”Thus says the Lord: Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk in it.”
