| And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God. | And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. |

| After he had decided to follow this course of action, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary into your home as your wife. | For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
