Bible Verses about 'Hebrews 11:1'

Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us.Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
With our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, ignoring its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for those who are immoral and adulterers will have to face God’s judgment.Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
May the God of peace—who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant— make you perfect in every respect so that you may do his will. And may he enable us to achieve what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
He is the reflection of God’s glory and the perfect expression of his very being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. Achieving purification from sins, he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all is God.For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe.Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
