God will bless us. All the ends of the earth shall fear him. | May God continue to bless us and be revered to the ends of the earth. |
He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us. | All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us. |
I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue. | I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue. |
Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.” | Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.” |
For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily, and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power. | For it is in him that the entire fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and you share this fullness in him who is the head of every ruler and power. |
Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. | Seek the Lord while he still may be found; call to him when he is close at hand. |
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. | And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet. |
If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. | If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. |
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him. | Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. |
Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. | Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes. |
But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. | But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there. |
But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him? | If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him? |
Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him. | The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart places its trust in him. He has helped me, and I exult; then with my song I praise him. |
