Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
