| Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to Yah, his name! Rejoice before him! | For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.” | For: “If anyone wishes to love life and to experience good days, he must restrain his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.” |
| They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” | Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” |
| This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. | And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us. |

| But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him? | If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him? |
| Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you if you return to him. | For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him. |
| If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. | If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. |
| Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. | Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. |
| Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you. | Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you. |
| The father of the righteous has great joy. Whoever fathers a wise child delights in him. | The father of a good man will rejoice; he who begets a wise son will delight in him. |

| Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. | The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. |
| Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. | To him who in all things is able through the power that is at work within us to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus through all generations, forever and ever. Amen. |
| A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor. | A man’s pride will bring him low, but lowly souls will rise to honor. |

| But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ. | Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ. |
| If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. | If anyone wishes to serve me, he must follow me. Where I am, there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor that person. |
| For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. |
| Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. | And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. |
| This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. | This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. |
| He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God. | Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him already stands condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. |
