Bible Verses about Encouragement

  • Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
  • But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint.
  • Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.
  • When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned,
and flame will not scorch you.
  • Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
  • I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
    My help comes from Yahweh,
    who made heaven and earth.
  • Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
  • I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
I will counsel you with my eye on you.
  • Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
  • Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who hope in Yahweh.
  • Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!
  • I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
  • In all hard work there is profit,
but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty.
  • Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
    Your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
  • Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
  • For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory.
  • Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
    and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life.
  • What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
  • Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.
  • Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us.
Establish the work of our hands for us.
Yes, establish the work of our hands.
  • Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
  • Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
  • Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
