| But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you. | But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. |

| If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. | If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. |
| When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me. | When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. |
| But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. | But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. | When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. |

| I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one. | My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. |
| Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. | Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. |

| Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. | When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. |
| So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead. | Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) |
