| Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? | Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? |
| For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. | For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. |
| And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. | And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. |
| Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. | By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. |
| And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. | And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. |
| And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
| Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” |
| These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. | These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. |
| Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. | Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.” |
| If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. | If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |
| And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. | And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. |
| And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. | And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. |
| Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. | Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” |
| I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. | I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. |
| Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. | Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. |
