For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard… Romans 3:23-24

Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all. 1 Corinthians 15:34	Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. righteousness sin conversion
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. 1 John 2:17	The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. eternal life obedience desires
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21	He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. sin righteousness mediator

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8	The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 1 Corinthians 2:10	For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. God Spirit planning

But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years. For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. Titus 2:11-12	For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age. grace righteousness salvation
And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. 1 John 5:20	And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9	For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. grace faith salvation
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. Galatians 1:10	For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. obedience reward relationships
This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:17	For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.” faith righteousness salvation
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18	Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. joy gratitude prayer
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. Psalm 51:17	The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. sacrifice repentance
