Bible Verses about 'Law'

For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
I delight to do Your will, my God; Your Law is within my heart.I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord.Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.
For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Those who love Your Law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination. If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.
For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
And almost all things are cleansed with blood, according to the Law, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
