| Jesus said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. | This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. | This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. |

| But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. |
| The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it. | A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. |
| Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us. | Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. |

| In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? | In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. |
| Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent; do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is nearby than kindred who are far away. | Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. |
| Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs. | Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. |
| Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. | Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. |

| Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one. | But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. |
| So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
| Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions of them to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” | Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. |

| A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not travel on it, but it shall be for God's people; no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray. | And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. |
| You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. | Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. |
