Lift up your eyes (2/4)

My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart.
And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.
And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.“I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh,” says the Lord Yahweh, “when I am proven holy in you before their eyes.”
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.

Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love.Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness.
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.Live as free people, yet not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
