You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet”; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” |
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. | Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. |
But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. | But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |

But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. | Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. |
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. | A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. |
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” | Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. |
