My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. Proverbs 27:12	The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it. mind safety protection
When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18	There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. love fear
But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. Job 5:17	How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. suffering blessing
You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name. Deuteronomy 5:11	You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. law
Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you. Father learning

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. Psalm 146:9	The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. protection orphans widows
But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:15	But the free gift is not like the trespass. When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. Ecclesiastes 8:11	Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil. sin heart evil
