| Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. | Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. |
| By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. | And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. |
| For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. | For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. |
