| But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many. | But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. | When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any related duty. | Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers. | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. |
| For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being. | For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. |
| Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm. | He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. |

| You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess. | Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess. |
| Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.
