The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise.The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who begets a wise son will be glad in him.
The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.The hope of the righteous ends in gladness, but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing.
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.But I will sing of your might; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been a fortress for me and a refuge in the day of my distress.
But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish.
I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes.
I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.
I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken.
You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
