My pleasure (2/4)

Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you.Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.
In God alone is my soul at rest; it is from him that my salvation comes.Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
In God alone be at rest, O my soul; it is from him that my hope comes.Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord.Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you.All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
I lifted up my voice in prayer to him; his praise was on my tongue.I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt. I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,” and you removed the guilt of my sin. SelahThen I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me.But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
Why are you so disheartened, O my soul? Why do you sigh within me? Place your hope in God; for I will once again praise him, my Savior and my God.Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
When my anxious thoughts multiplied, your comfort filled my soul with joy. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. If you love me, keep my commands.
Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart.Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. SelahI spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land.
Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied.Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.

Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
