For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” | For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” |
Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother. | If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. |

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved. | There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! |
Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. | Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior. |
I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. | I have no greater joy than this: to hear about my children walking in truth. |
You are altogether beautiful, my darling, And there is no blemish on you. | You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you. |
Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. | Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God. |
Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends. | Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. |
No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. | I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way. |
For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me so that you may live.” | For Yahweh says to the house of Israel: “Seek me, and you will live.” |
No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor. | Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good. |
And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. | If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. |
It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it. | Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. |
I am coming quickly; hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. | I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown. |
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law. | Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. |
Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. | Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. |
But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. | But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away. |
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” | Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” |
And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” | While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.” |
For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings, And their sins I will no longer remember. | For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more. |
But above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you do not fall under judgment. | But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”, so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy. |
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. | No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us. |
No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. | Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. |
Even if the fig tree does not blossom, And there is no fruit on the vines, If the yield of the olive fails, And the fields produce no food, Even if the flock disappears from the fold, And there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will triumph in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. | For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food, the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! |
Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, that is, Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. | Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. |
