Psalm 16:1 (3/9)

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will be continually on my lips.I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he set me free from all my fears.I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Then keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Shun evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.
The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.
The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them.The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
Put your trust in the Lord and do good, that you may dwell in the land and be secure.Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord; place your trust in him, and he will act. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous.Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving.The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously.
The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct.The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.
For the Lord loves the just, and he will not forsake his faithful ones. Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed, and the children of the wicked will be cut off.For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.
O Lord, all my longing is known to you, and my sighs are not hidden from you.All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; do not be deaf to my cry or ignore my weeping. For I am a wayfarer before you, a nomad like all my ancestors.Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart.I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.
O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever.Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
As a deer longs for running streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come to behold the face of God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
nor will the waters engulf you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not consume you.
