Psalm 16:1 (8/9)

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.
How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely.For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path.Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with victory.For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers.Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
