Psalm 9:10 (3/9)

You are a place of refuge for me; you preserve me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. SelahFor you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.
I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and keep my eyes upon you.The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
For the word of the Lord is true, and he is faithful in everything he does. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is filled with his kindness. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all their host by the breath of his mouth. The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness. But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.
O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will be continually on my lips.I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he set me free from all my fears.I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.
In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
Then keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!
Shun evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.
The face of the Lord is turned against those who do evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
Put your trust in the Lord and do good, that you may dwell in the land and be secure.Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit your way to the Lord; place your trust in him, and he will act. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.
Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous. It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.

The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving. The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers.

Bible verse of the day

See what love
the Father has bestowed on us,
enabling us to be called the children of God,
and that is what we are.
If the world does not recognize us,
that is because it did not know him.
